NotesMost contaminants found in the Tillamook, Yaquina and Coos Bays, and the Columbia River. Also sampled: Netarts Bay (dieldrin), Umpqua River, Rogue River and Chetco River. This is a user-friendly resource, unlike some later publications on estuarine pollution in Oregon. It names sites (instead of code numbers), and gives EPA guidelines for specific chemicals, so the user has some idea of whether or how much the contaminant might represent a problem.
