NotesThis report was intended as an internal document for Shellfish Program staff. Netarts Bay produced the largest harvest of mud shrimp for the fishbait industry, with 46.6% of the state total. "As in 1987, we saw several geoduck clams in the sport harvest in Netarts Bay. Also of interest was the increasing frequency ... [of] Tresus nuttallii in the sport harvest in Netarts and Coos Bays." (p.6) "Recruitment studies continue to reveal poor survival of juvenile gaper clams in both intertidal and subtidal stocks of Netarts and Yaquina Bays." (p.7)
