NotesUniversity of Oregon M. S. thesis, 1987. Compared seismic events at Necanicum, Nestucca, Netarts, Siletz, Yaquina and Alsea bays. Found evidence of 5-6 paleoseismic events in the last 2600 years. The author found a complex but consistent history for the evolution of the Netarts Bay salt marsh, with repetitive cycles of salt marsh growth, submergence, and re-establishment relating either to tectonic events or gradual sea level rise.
