NotesMeasured sediment-associated microalgal biomass for a year at three sites in Netarts Bay, distinguished by sediment types of sand, fine sand and silt. Tested to see if tidal height, sediment type and season were main controlling factors for microalgal primary production and found that the hypothesis was too simplistic to explain the results. Suggest that chemical and biotic factors affect productivity. Map, charts.
