NotesHistorical analysis showed significant changes in the physical characteristics of Netarts Bay. Factors affecting the bay included logging (sediment leading to marsh growth, decline in chum salmon populations); road fill and road construction (destruction of gaper clam beds) and construction of a boat basin and fill (decrease in sandspit volume). Excellent discussion of changes in the Bay over time. Maps, bw photographs.
