Notes | Letter supporting proposed development of a wagon road between Yamhill and Tillamook Counties. "As for Netarts Bay itself, it is about seven miles in length by one mile in width. Its shores abound with razor clams, quahaugs and other varieties. No better spot can be found on the coast for the establishment of a cannery of the luscious bivalves. The waters of the bay are well adapted to the cultivation of the oyster, as has been fully demonstrated by practical experiment. The bay abounds in the best qualities of seafish. The country to be traversed by the road is full of game and the bay as a summer resort is equal to any, the climate being delightful and the beach one of the finest on the coast."
